About Our Rescue

Rescues Unlimited is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue located in Gregory, SD. It all began in 2004 when Dale brought home his very first sick dog and nursed him back to health. Rescues Unlimited is operated by Marie and Dale Hanna and serves to place abandoned and neglected animals into loving homes in South Dakota and northern Nebraska, as well as surrounding states if transportation is provided by the adopter.

Rescues Unlimited focuses primarily on dogs. Many of our dogs are strays, brought to us by the game warden or sheriff, from the Gregory or Winner pounds, or owner surrenders. RU takes on some of the worst cases of mangy, ill and injured dogs in the area. The wellbeing of the animals that are taken into rescue are of utmost concern. The adoptive homes are responsible for providing shelter, nutrition, proper health care, and love to their forever pet!
